Milano Cortina 2026 opens volunteer applications for the Paralympic Winter Games

Milano Cortina 2026 has launched the application portal for the volunteer programme for the next Paralympic and Olympic Winter Games.

Becoming a member of Team26 volunteer programme  means meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds, acquiring new skills, and simultaneously, enjoying all the emotions that one of the most important sporting events in the world offers.

A total of 18,000 volunteers of Team26 will have the opportunity to make the experience of the best athletes of the winter disciplines special and memorable, while representing the typical Italian hospitality: they will be the heart and smile of Milano Cortina 2026.

Volunteers will be involved in the competition venues and in all official sites of Milano Cortina 2026.

How to apply

Team26 members are the soul of the Olympics and Paralympics and essential to their success.

There are a few simple requirements to apply:

• Be at least 18 years old by 1 November 2025
• Speak basic Italian and/or English
• Be available for a minimum period of 9 non-consecutive days during the Olympic or the Paralympic Games
• Attend the selection and training events

You can submit your application through the dedicated portal at this link: team26.milanocortina2026.org/en.

Filling in the form will take 20-30 minutes and applicants will answer questions about their identity, reasons for applying, areas of expertise, and preferred availability and locations for their role.

Those who make it beyond the first selection phase will then be contacted to attend the selection events close to the venues or online. In the spring of 2025, if the application is successful, candidates will discover the activities they will do during the Games.

A Medal-Worthy Training Journey and a special uniform

As every great athlete teaches, you need to prepare yourself to be in the best condition on the day of a competition. And the Milano Cortina 2026 volunteers will have to do the same, by following the dedicated training in person or online.

For this reason, Team26 will provide the necessary tools to be trained on the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, the role and the assigned venue. Finally, volunteers will receive a full uniform that will be a distinctive item to wear during the Games and keep as a treasured memento of an unforgettable adventure.
