MEDIAZONE
MediaZone is the official news and information platform for Milano Cortina 2026, available to the accredited media and other accredited Paralympic Family stakeholders. MediaZone will be live from 4 to 16 March for the Paralympic Winter Games.
MediaZone is delivered by the Olympic Information Service (OIS) who will be in operation at the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games to assist the media in their coverage of the Games.
Provided by the IOC in co-operation with OBS and the OCOG, the OIS is a specialised sports reporting and information service designed to help the accredited media achieve comprehensive coverage of the Games through a dedicated platform called MediaZone.
The OIS provides the Paralympic Games media with a comprehensive range of content including Flash Quotes, Previews, Reviews and News Articles that they can use to supplement their own coverage.
OIS output is produced with constant commitment to accurate, unbiased and factual reporting. During the Games, the OIS has reporters in all venues, covering every medal event to ensure the media can rely on the OIS to gather content when they are not able to attend.
MediaZone can be accessed through this link: Home | MediaZone
Media not accredited for the Games: Media working remotely for an accredited media outlet can access MediaZone through a dedicated token login, which can be ordered free of charge and subject to approval and availability, through the Milano Cortina 2026 Rate Card Team: ratecard.gt.order@milanocortina2026.org.
Using the token, users can proceed with the registration process from 30 January 2026.
Please note that members of the accredited media for the Olympic Winter Games with MediaZone access can use the same log-in details to access MediaZone during the Paralympic Winter Games, whether they are accredited or not.
OIS Photo
The OlS Photo team will support media coverage of the Paralympic Games. For the first time at a Paralympic Winter Games, OIS will run the OIS Student Photography training programme, a legacy programme for Milano Cortina 2026 in which student photographers will be involved in covering the Games for OIS.
The photos, taken by the OIS Photo team and student photographers, will be provided free of charge for immediate editorial usage and archive via a dedicated webpage: www.oisphotos.com
Media Operations
Information for accredited photographers
Please refer to the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Media Handbook for information on venue photo operations and venue photo positions. See link above.
Photographers’ Undertaking & Code of Conduct
Before collecting the Photographers’ official Sleeve, the Photographer must sign the IPC Photographers’ Undertaking and Code of Conduct at the Help Desk located in the E-VMCs or in any additional location designated by the Organising Committee.
Please note: Failure to provide this signed Photographers’ Undertaking and Code of Conduct will lead to the Photographer not being granted a Photographers’ sleeve or Photographers’ vest (as appropriate), without which they will not be permitted entry into any photo position in any Paralympic Venue.
Photo Briefings
Accredited photographers must attend the Photographers’ briefing prior to the start of the Games. Additionally, the Photographer is strongly encouraged to attend the photo briefings conducted in the Venue Media Centres before each competition. These briefings provide essential information to ensure smooth operations and compliance with venue regulations.
Safety on the slopes
Please note that photographers willing to go on the slopes, including to reach photo positions or for the purposes of race inspection, must be aware that a patented ski helmet is required and a personal liability insurance.
Non-Media Rights-Holders (ENR) Accredited Media & News Access Rules
A limited number of non-Media Rights-Holding (ENR) accreditations were made available for the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games.
ENR-accredited media will have to abide by the News Access Rules. They will be required to sign the ENR Undertaking, related to these Rules ahead of the Games to have their accreditation granted.
The Milano Cortina 2026 News Access Rules and the ENR Undertaking can be downloaded at the top of this page or in the Guides and Policies section.
ENR Undertakings shall be returned to the IPC Media Operations, no later than 30 November 2025 at media.accreditation@paralympic.org. Failing to provide the signed ENR Undertaking will imply that the PIAC for the Accredited Personnel will not be validated for the Games.
News Access Rules are designed to protect the exclusivity of broadcasters that have paid for rights while permitting fair access for ENRs to broadcast highlights for news purposes. The document outlines the rules that apply to coverage by ENR organisations, as well as venue access rules and restrictions within the host city and country.
Please note that accredited ENRs are not entitled to film or record audio in any Paralympic venue, including all competition venues and the Paralympic Village. Within the perimeters of Paralympic venues, ENR accredited media shall work as written press journalists.
Please read the News Access Rules and ENR Undertaking carefully for more information.
High Demand Tickets
IPC Media Operations manages High-Demand Event ticketing for “E” accredited stakeholders. Currently confirmed High Demand Events for the Press:
- Opening Ceremony
- Closing Ceremony
The IPC can decide during the Games to include additional events, should the need arise.
The HDE Ticket Allocation Process
HDE tickets will be electronic and allocated to National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) accredited media and IPC directly accredited organisations.
- NPCs will be able to make an initial request to the IPC for an allocation of tickets. Tickets will be distributed to accredited media directly by the IPC.
- IPC directly accredited organisations and/or individuals as well as International News Agencies will make an initial request for tickets to the IPC. The IPC will allocate High-Demand Event tickets directly to these organisations.
In order to access the allocated seat or position in the venue, the ticket holder must present their PIAC and HDE ticket.
Please note that tickets for HDEs are limited, in particular for the Closing Ceremony, and, therefore, it will not be possible to fulfil all requests.
All relevant information regarding the HDE ticketing process, and updated information on HDEs will be shared directly with NPCs, accredited organisations and agencies as required and published on MediaZone.
