MILANO CORTINA 2026 PARALYMPIC MEDALS
Get to know more about the Milano 2026 Paralympic medals
The official medals made with Italian craftsmanship showcases the strength in the duality of the Paralympics and Olympics.
Design Elements of the Medals
The front face of the medal is constructed from a combination of two uneven, mirroring semicircles. These symbolic planes represent a myriad of dualities. The medal conveys the hard work and spirit behind the Games in the two cities, Milano and Cortina.
First and foremost, the two angled halves represent the Paralympic and Olympic values, merging perfectly in the middle of the medal where the Agitos is featured.
The slope of either side is representative of the Para athlete’s journey and those who supported it.
Overall, the simplicity of the medal and the meanings of each half cumulate a grander meaning, the concept of two worlds merging. The spirit of the Paralympic Games is the uniting factor underlying each symbol. The medal, in its minimalist style clearly and powerfully delivers its message: competition does not divide but instead it unites.
The Physical Attributes of the Milano Cortina 2026 Medals
