Paris 2024 Paralympic event schedule is out

The full sports schedule for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games has been released with the complete programme for the ten days of Para athletics events.

Built for the 1998 FIFA World Cup, the Stade de France will host 1,069 athletes competing in 164 medal events in Para athletics.

The programme will kick off on a Friday morning on 30 August with the women’s long jump T11 at 10:00. It will be followed by the men’s 5000m T11, the first event to crown a Paralympic champion in Para athletics at Paris 2024. 

The Para athletics programme wraps up on 8 September next year with the men’s and women’s marathon T12 and T54.

The biggest sport in the Paralympics in terms of participating athletes and medal events, Para athletics has been part of the Games since the first edition in Rome, Italy, in 1960. 

China topped the medals table in the last edition at Tokyo 2020 with 27 gold medals and 51 in total.
