Qualification criteria published for Kobe 2024 World Championships

World Para Athletics has announced the qualification criteria and event programme for the next edition of the World Championships to take place in Kobe, Japan from 17 to 25 May next year.

Kobe 2024 will hold a total of 171 medal events (93 male, 77 female and one mixed).  

Athletes will be able to qualify for the World Championships by achieving a Minimum Entry Standard performance at a World Para Athletics recognised competition for each of their respective events between 1 January 2023 and 7 April 2024.

This will be the 11th edition of the Para Athletics World Championships and the third time the event takes place in Asia following Doha 2015 and Dubai 2019.
