MEN

Alex Zanardi (ITA)

Showed he is as strong as ever as he won his 12th World Championships title in Emmen, Netherlands, in 2019. Italy’s legend and former Formula 1 driver seeks further glory in the cycling circuit.

Lauro Cesar Chaman (BRA)

Has already claimed gold medals at World Championships and Parapan American Games after taking Brazil’s first cycling medals at a Paralympic Games – a silver and a bronze. He will be the top contender at the next Paralympics, where he seeks to win the one medal missing from his trophy cabinet.

Jozef Metelka (SVK)

Shows no signs of slowing down at 33 years old. In 2020, he won a hat-trick of titles at the Track World Championships, taking his total tally to 12. Slovakia’s two-time Paralympic champion is hoping to extend his winning streak into the next competitions.

WOMEN

Andrea Eskau (GER)

The German constantly switches from the snow to the road but enjoys same success. When she is not winning Nordic skiing titles, Eskau is claiming cycling gold medals, most recently at the 2019 Road World Championships in the Netherlands.

Paige Greco (AUS)

Is one of the relatively new faces in the cycling international scene, rapidly making a name for herself. The 23-year-old won two golds at the Track Worlds and one more at the Road Worlds in 2019.

Sarah Storey (GBR)

With 38 world titles and 14 Paralympic golds to her name, Storey has become Great Britain’s most successful Paralympian and is recognised across the world as one of the best Para athletes in the century.
