Members of the Czech Republic’s Sochi 2014 Paralympic team were introduced to the public on Monday (11 February) at Prague’s Letna Park, where winter sport demonstrations and tryouts took place.

The day began with two ice sledge hockey exhibition games between two national league teams that included multiple players going to Sochi 2014, such as forward Zdenek Krupicka and goaltender Michael Vapenka. Following the matches, members of the public and Czech TV reporters had the opportunity to try out sledge hockey themselves.

The Czech wheelchair curling team – despite not qualifying for Sochi 2014 – gave a demonstration, allowing fans to join in, and then visually impaired biathletes showed off their sport. Then, members of the public had the chance to sit in a mono-ski.
