Here are five more facts about the Russian T36 track star.

1. The Russian broke the world record in the 200m T36 at the Berlin Grand Prix this year – a record that had previously stood for seven years.

2. In recognition of his performance at London 2012, Shvetcov received the Order of Friendship from the Russian President.

3. He has won a clean sweep of gold medals at every major championship he has competed in since his international debut at the 2012 European Championships – that is an amazing 13 gold medals so far.

4. He holds the title of Honoured Master of Sport in Russia.

5. He is the current world number one and world record holder in the 100m, 200m and 400m T36.

The IPC Athletics World Championships will take place in Doha, Qatar, between 21-31 October, attracting 1,300 athletes from 100 countries.
