Media accreditation for the 2015 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships A-Pool now open

With just two months to go until the 2015 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships A Pool in Buffalo, New York, USA, media are advised that they can now apply for media accreditation at www.paralympic.org/buffalo-2015/media.

The competition follows the huge success of ice sledge hockey at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games and will feature a replay of the final between Paralympic champions the USA and Russia in the opening games on 26 April. The gold medal game will be played on 3 May.

European champions Italy and Germany complete Group A, whilst Group B features reigning world champions Canada, Vancouver 2010 silver medallists Japan, Norway and the Czech Republic.

Media are advised that they need to book their own accommodation. Information about hotels is also available at the above web-link.

In zwei Monaten beginnt die Sledge-Eishockey-Weltmeisterschaft (A-Pool) in Buffalo, New York, USA. Interessierte Medienvertreter können sich ab sofort unter folgendem Link akkreditieren: www.paralympic.org/buffalo-2015/media.

Die Paralympischen Winterspiele in Sotschi im März 2014 haben den Sport weltweit populär gemacht und die Weltmeisterschaft soll an diesen Erfolg anknüpfen. Ab dem 26. April spielen die Teams um Medaillen, in der Gruppenphase wird es unter anderem eine Wiederholung des Finales von Sotschi zwischen Russland und den USA geben. Das Finale wird am 3. Mai stattfinden.

Neben Russland und den USA komplettieren Europameister Italien und Deutschland die Gruppe A. In Gruppe B spielt der amtierende Weltmeister Kanada gegen Japan (Silbermedaillengewinner von Vancouver 2010), sowie gegen Norwegen und die Tschechische Republik.
