Venue

VISTA 2013 will take place at the Gustav-Stresemann Institute in Bonn, Germany, the same venue which staged the 2006 Conference.

Accommodation and Travel

The IPC has blocked a limited number of rooms at the VISTA Conference hotel (Gustav Stresemann Institute - GSI). Bookings are only possible before 14 February 2013. After that time, participants will be required to find their own accommodation in other hotels.

Room reservations and payment can be made through the registration section of the website.

Rates

A single-room rate including breakfast and dinner is 100 Euros per night (including 19 per cent VAT).

This rate also includes a complimentary shuttle service to/from the Cologne Airport or the Bonn/Siegburg train station. Please note that participants who make their accommodation arrangements at other hotels will need to make their own transport arrangements to and from the airport/ train station to their accommodation location.

Please note that 4 May 2013 is a day of special celebration in Bonn when the “Rhein in Flammen” takes place. This literally means “Rhine in Flames.” This is a spectacular fireworks celebration including concerts and live entertainment along the Rhine river throughout the evening. Tourists come from all over Germany and Europe to take part in this event which takes place the first Saturday of May every year. It is worth noting that hotels for this weekend are usually booked out in Bonn and the surrounding cities months in advance. We therefore would highly encourage you to make your reservations at the GSI prior to the deadline, as it could be difficult to find alternative accommodation at a later date.

Registration Fees

Early bird registration fee: 250 Euros (Before 15 February 2013)

Standard registration fee: 300 Euros (Before 1 April 2013)

Student special rate: 200 Euros (Before 15 February 2013) *Limited to 15 students

The above fees all include VAT and final deadline is 15 April 2013.

The Registration Fee includes:

• Participation in all scientific sessions

• Invitation to Opening Ceremony and reception on evening of 1 May

• Conference attendance from 2-4 May

• Lunch and coffee breaks during days of conference at GSI

• Conference abstract book

Confirmation of registration

Upon receipt of the relevant payment, all participants will receive an invoice that will serve as registration confirmation.

Cancellations and refunds

Notification of cancellation of registration and/or accommodation must be sent it writing to the IPC Events Department (vista2013@paralympic.org) and will be subject to the following conditions:

For the participation fee

• For cancellations received before 1 April 2013, payment will be refunded after the conference, less than a 50 Euro administrative fee.

• For cancellations received on or after 1 April 2013, no refund will be provided.

For accommodation

• For cancellations prior to 14 February 2013, full payment will be refunded after the conference.

• For cancellations received between 15 February and 31 March 2013, payment will be refunded after the conference, less than 60 per cent of the amount charged.

• For cancellations received on or after 1 April 2013, no refund will be provided.
