Abdellatif Baka is Algeria’s middle-distance man of the moment, after a sensational world record run at Rio 2016 in the men’s 1,500m T13, where he beat the time set by the 1,500m Olympic champion a month earlier.
Baka will be going for gold again at this summer’s World Para Athletics Championships – and if his Holiday Hotspot is anything to go by, he’ll love the fact the competition takes place in London, Great Britain.
Abdellatif Baka - My Holiday Hotspot:
“England – because the people are great and friendly and with them I always feel happy and relaxed.”
My two essential items:
“Well there are two things I always need – a football and sand. I like to play football, and I like the beach – I need sand as I am the son of the sun!”
Baka is likely to be in England this summer for the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships which take between 14-23 July. To buy tickets, click here.
