Aaron Scheidies

Cycling

Scheidies is one of the world’s best Para triathletes and is the world No. 1 in the then-PT5 class*. Although his class was not included in the 2016 Paralympics, the US athlete was in Rio competing in road cycling.

He has won multiple Para triathlon world titles, most recently in July 2016 when the event was held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He has also won a number of International Triathlon Union (ITU) Grand Finals and World Para Triathlon Events.

He is a physical therapist and holds a bachelor degree in exercise physiology from Michigan State University, a doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Washington and is a USA Triathlon level 1 certified triathlon coach.

*Sport classes for Para triathlon will be renamed for 2017
