When and where did you begin this sport?
He played American football at high school and dreamed of a professional career in the sport, until the amputation of his limbs in 2008. After recovering and learning to walk again, he got into Para athletics and by 2009 he got his first pair of running blades.
Why this sport?
He was introduced to the sport by Baker Orthotics & Prosthetics in Texas, United States of America, who supported his rehabilitation. "They showed me this dude on the internet called Oscar Pistorius, and I just looked at it and said, 'I can top that.' I respect what he did, but now it's my turn."

Impairment
In 2008 he contracted bacterial meningitis and was faced with the likelihood of losing all four limbs. He underwent experimental stem cell therapy treatment in the Dominican Republic, but ultimately both hands and feet had to be amputated in order to stop the infection and save his life. He got his first set of prosthetic legs seven months later, which was followed by prosthetic arms. (YouTube channel, 02 Oct 2010)
