When and where did you begin this sport?
He took up Para Nordic skiing in late 2011.
Why this sport?
He got involved in alpine skiing in 2006 and competed in the sport at the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver, but was disappointed with his performance. He continued for another year before deciding to switch sports. He considered taking up athletics but concluded he would be more suited to Nordic skiing. "I made the switch because I found Para Nordic skiing more suitable for my disability."

SHOOTING FOCUS
In 2021 he said he had been aiming to improve his shooting for biathlon by placing greater emphasis on mental preparation. "I have worked a lot on mental training to take some pressure off my shooting. I am very demanding with myself. In these two previous years [speaking in 2021] I made a lot of technical progress in shooting that did not translate into competition.
