He began playing Para ice hockey in 2013 in Quebec City, QC, Canada.
Why this sport?
During his rehabilitation he was invited to take up the sport by Gaetan Bouchard, a member of the Canadian Armed Forces who had lost a leg while serving in Afghanistan.

Impairment
In November 2012, while serving as a reservist in the Canadian Armed Forces, he was travelling on a bus with his regiment to attend a Remembrance Day ceremony when the vehicle skidded on the wet road surface.
