COMEBACK
She took an eight-year break from swimming in her late teens in order to focus on her education and career. She returned to the sport in her 20s. (cincychic.com, 03 Mar 2008)

OTHER ACTIVITIES
She has visited local schools to discuss Paralympic sport and encourage children to be active. She has also served on a fundraising event committee for a nonprofit organisation, which offers cancer support programmes to the community. (US Paralympics, 03 Mar 2010)
