She began swimming in grade three at primary school. She took up Para swimming in 2017.
Why this sport?
Her father was a swimming coach and encouraged her to try the sport. She stopped swimming competitively after starting university due to injuries, before she was introduced to Para swimming by Japanese Para swimmer Yuki Morishita.
