He was chosen by the British Paralympic Association to participate in its Paralympic Inspiration Programme for the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi. The programme provided nine future Paralympians with the opportunity to experience the Games in Sochi as spectators before they attend a Paralympic Games as competitors.
