She began training for athletics in 2013.
Why this sport?
Her chiropractor Tim Button suggested she take up athletics to help manage her cerebral palsy, and put her in touch with coach Mark Lodge. "He said he had been thinking of a way that could help me improve my confidence and get my cerebral palsy stronger. He proposed the idea of me starting athletics. You should've seen my reaction! Immediately I refused the idea and for weeks and weeks I listed many excuses until the time I had ran out of them!"
