Sport specific information

When and where did you begin this sport?
He began training in throwing events in early 2017. A month later he won three medals at the Queensland state championships in Brisbane, QLD, Australia. "I got gold for shot put, silver for javelin and gold for discus. Apparently I am quite good at it. Though it was surprising as I have only been training for about a month. So I was pretty shocked and dumbfounded."
Why this sport?
After losing his sight and his career as an electrical apprentice, he began working out at the Scrutiny Strength and Conditioning gym in Rockhampton, QLD, Australia. "It was hard there for a while. You do live in denial. Everyone goes through that stage. The only way for me to move forward was to find the gym and find something to put my energy into."

General interest

To compete at the Paralympic Games. (, 08 Mar 2017)
In 2015 he was diagnosed with Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy, a condition that other members of his family, including his sister, also have. He went from 20/20 to losing 80% of his sight in the space of three months. (, 08 Mar 2017)
