She began swimming at age five.
Why this sport?
After having surgery on her left leg at age five, swimming was part of her physiotherapy. "I started it after physical therapy, and just kind of kept going. It's meant a lot, it's something to look forward to at the end of the day. Something to get my mind off everything else."
