When and where did you begin this sport?
He took up the sport in 2015 and had made his international debut for Peru within seven months.
Why this sport?
He was inspired to take up the sport after watching the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, ON, Canada. "I saw the performance of a fellow Peruvian [Raul Pacheco] who ran 42 kilometres and barely won the medal. At that moment I realised I wanted to be on that same stage, competing in athletics."
