He began competing in Para athletics in 2006.
Why this sport?
He was involved in weightlifting before his accident. While he was in hospital, he was visited by some Para athletes who invited him to join a local athletics club.

He trains for six hours a day. His sessions include gym work, practising technique, and physiotherapy.
