When and where did you begin this sport?
He learnt to swim as a toddler, but did not start competitive swimming until he was age 15.
Why this sport?
His teachers at school encouraged him to start swimming competitively. "At the time I wasn't really sure if I was good at swimming or not. Until around probably Year 11 and 12, I figured I should probably stick with this and see where it takes me."

OTHER ACTIVITIES
In addition to training for swimming, he offers his time visiting schools in Australia to speak about his achievements. He has also served as an ambassador for the 2019 Global Games in Brisbane, QLD, Australia. "So proud to be a Paralympian and to be given the privilege to be named ambassador for the 2019 Global Games in Brisbane. The Global Games was my first ever international meet. It was in the Czech Republic in 2009 where I won three golds and one silver. If I can manage to help encourage and inspire young people to achieve what I have managed to achieve I will be very happy."
