When and where did you begin this sport?
He started competing in para-athletics at age 39 at the Disabled Sports USA National Games at George Mason University in Virginia, United States
Why this sport?
He learned about athletic events for amputees while being fitted for a new, lighter prosthetic leg. As an athlete who competed in shotput in high school, he decided to try the disabled competition and within five months was competing.
