He took up the sport in the fifth grade of school, five months after recovering from his injuries, in North Sumatra, Indonesia.
Why this sport?
"I was first interested in running after watching 'The Flash' [superhero character]. I always thought as a boy, 'If he can run that fast, I can too'. Winning a medal in my first race in the fifth grade inspired me to go further. The medal was like a candy but it regained my confidence."
