When and where did you begin this sport?
During high school a friend encouraged him to play basketball. He also played football with his friends, and eventually became involved in athletics.
Why this sport?
"Getting into sport helped me to see the world differently. It inspired me to get over my disability."

Most influential person in career
His family, brothers and friends who, he says, never treated him as if he had an impairment. "I grew up with them and they have always known me. So after my accident they did not treat me any differently. They would even take me to play football with them and I would play in defence. Nobody ever looked on me as if I had a handicap.
