She initially took up cross-country running but switched to athletics when she was in year five at school.
Why this sport?
She was spotted by coach Kevin Warner, who asked her to join the Liverpool Harriers club in England. She began to focus specifically on sprinting after she sustained a bad injury during a cross-country race.
