When and where did you begin this sport?
She took up Para athletics at age 14 in Santa Maria di Sala, Italy. She began competing in 2013.
Why this sport?
Her physical therapist suggested that she try the sport. "Since I was a child I always played sports, of any kind, and before the accident I played volleyball. Later, after rehabilitation and a year of curative gymnastics, at the suggestion of my Russian physiotherapist in high school, I started doing athletics because I wanted to get closer to my peers and I wanted to start moving again."

Awards and honours
