"I got involved in discus thanks to my parents listening to [British Paralympian] Stephen Miller at a local cerebral palsy conference, talking about how he trains at Gateshead Harriers. I came back home for half-term from the specialist disabled college I went to at the time and my dad asked me if I wanted to try it out."
