She took up para-athletics at age 22 in Tehran, Iran.
Why this sport?
She started para-athletics out of personal interest and because her coach suggested it. "After losing my eyesight I was depressed for two years. Fortunately, with the help of my para-athletics coach, I was able to find myself again."
