He fell on the final turn of the T46 1500m at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games in Beijing while trying to take the lead in the last 150m. He was attempting the takeover when he came into contact with Spaniard Abderrahmane Al Khamouch, the eventual winner of the heat. He was eliminated and inconsolable in the mixed zone after, saying "I am very disappointed with my performance.
