Why this sport?
When her daughter entered kindergarten, she decided to participate in activities outside the house. At that time, she found para-athletics, and contacted the para-sports association in her prefecture, and was introduced to the para-athletics club Biwako Timers.

CANCER
She was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2019 and in March she had surgery, avoiding anti-cancer treatments. Her aim was to qualify for the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
