Sport specific information

When and where did you begin this sport?
He began swimming at primary school. He entered his first Para swimming competition in 2004.
Why this sport?
Swimming was part of his rehabilitation following his accident. Spending time in the water makes him feel free and helps him forget about problems in his life. "At first I trained in wheelchair fencing and treated swimming as rehabilitation. The trainers saw that I was very buoyant. When I went into the water I floated very well. Thanks to their advice, I changed my discipline to swimming. It is my greatest passion. Practising this sport is an opportunity to constantly face new challenges. It is also a source of joy and optimism in life."
