Sport specific information
When and where did you begin this sport?
He took-up athletics after attending an outreach programme for para-athletes organised by Athletics New Brunswick in 2010.
Why this sport?
After an accident in 2006 left him without the use of his legs it seemed to him that the only sports available were wheelchair basketball or sledge hockey. He had never heard of the wheelchair division of track and field, before receiving an invitation to attend an outreach programme for para-athletes organised by Athletics New Brunswick in 2010. He attended, and to his surprise the technical director was impressed with what he saw. Approaching him after the event, the technical director said "we're keeping you”. He has been racing ever since.
