PARALYMPIC PROSTHETICS
He arrived at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London at a disadvantage as he had not been able to afford a £5,000 prosthesis. He competed in the shot put event but was unable to match the scores of the other competitors that had prosthetic limbs. Prosthetic company Ottobock decided to make him his very first prosthesis, which allowed him to have a better range of movement when he competed in the javelin event. (dailymail.co.uk, 09 Sep 2012)
