She began swimming at age three.
Why this sport?
She began swimming on medical advice. "I had to be in good physical condition in case I underwent a bone-enlargement surgery as an adult. I have always liked to swim since I was a kid. Being in the water is feeling free."

SWITCHING CLUB
In 2018 she left the Ademi club in Tenerife, Spain, after her coach Jose Luis Guadalupe founded a new swimming club called 'Midayu'. He named the club after Rolo, as well as her national teammates Dacil Cabrera and Michelle Alonso, by combining the first two letters of each of their first names.
