He took up swimming in 2005 in Wroclaw, Poland.
Why this sport?
Doctors encouraged him to try swimming after he was diagnosed with the spinal condition scoliosis. "A form of rehabilitation turned into a great passion."

He was disappointed with his performances in the 2018/19 season, and decided to leave the START Wroclaw club to move to Szansa Start Gdansk in Poland. "It's the first season in my career without any personal bests, which is the most important fuel for every athlete. The season was like a crazy roller-coaster.
