When and where did you begin this sport?
He began swimming at age three, and focused on the sport competitively in grade four of primary school.
Why this sport?
His mother suggested the sport to him in order to improve his health. He took it up seriously because he was inspired by Japanese swimmer Kosuke Kitajima after watching a television broadcast of him winning the gold medal in the 100m breaststroke at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
