When and where did you begin this sport?
He took up Para ice hockey in 2013 in Dolny Kubin, Czech Republic, and began training with the Slovakian national Para ice hockey team later that year.
Why this sport?
He wanted to return to sport after his accident. "I didn't see why my active lifestyle would change. I had a couple of friends with impairments and I knew that Para sports existed."

Prior to his accident he competed at the 2001 International Ski Instructors Association [ISIA] World Championships in Obergurgl, Austria. He also participated in freeride skiing at international level and downhill skiing at junior international level. Since his accident he has represented Slovakia in Para alpine skiing. Impairment
In 2005 he sustained spinal cord injuries in a skiing accident in the Czech Republic. "I have a congenital deformity of some vertebrae. It's called Scheuermann's disease. It is a developmental disorder in which several adjacent vertebrae are erected at an uneven angle. And it was right there I broke my spine." He owns Whitedog, a Slovakian outdoor clothing and equipment retailer. In 2005 he founded the Ligda Centre, Association for the Disabled, to provide support for people with spinal injuries. LE TOUR
In 2013 he completed a handcycling trip of around 2000 kilometres from Liptovsky Mikulas, Slovakia, to Paris, France. His journey was filmed and made into the documentary 'Le Tour'. "I once saw a Czech somewhere on the internet handbiking from Prague to Paris. So, I thought I'd give it a try too. It was a long and difficult journey, but also very fun."
