He began playing Para ice hockey at age 10.
Why this sport?
"I'd always enjoyed watching hockey and playing mini sticks against my brothers and dad growing up. One night my dad was playing at Donnan Arena, a local rink in Edmonton [AB, Canada], and saw a para hockey programme on the ice. [He] came home ecstatic and signed me up. The following week I started and instantly fell in love with the sport."
