Why this sport?
He previously played basketball at middle school. He was inspired to take up the sport after seeing a photograph of Japanese Para athlete Atsushi Yamamoto competing at the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing. He then joined the athletics team as an extra curricular activity.
