When and where did you begin this sport?
He was originally introduced to wheelchair tennis but discovered a love for racing after participating in a national athletics competition held by the Singapore Disability Sports Council [SDSC].
Why this sport?
"My mother introduced me to all kinds of sports as a child and I made a decision to become an athlete. I realised that my passion and niche lies in wheelchair racing."

Other information
In May 2016 he was sentenced to five years in prison in Singapore after being found guilty of trafficking methamphetamine. He was also given a 10-month jail term, to run concurrently, after admitting consuming the drug. (, 26 May 2017;, 20 May 2016)

In May 2017 he was given a four-year ban from competition by the National Anti-Doping Disciplinary Committee [NADC] in Singapore. The suspension was a result of his admission in court the previous year to having taken methamphetamine, a banned substance on the prohibited list issued by the World Anti-Doping Agency [WADA]. His ban runs from 20 May 2016 until 19 May 2020. (, 26 May 2017)
