She began powerlifting in 2013 in Voskresensk, Russian Federation.
Why this sport?
She trained and competed in arm wrestling from age 21. Eventually, she decided to take up powerlifting to strengthen her muscles, not only in the arms but the whole body, and to have a chance of competing at the Paralympic Games.
