He took up Para athletics in November 2017 in Belgrade, Serbia.
Why this sport?
"I come from a town where athletics is not popular, there isn't even an athletics club in my hometown of Lucan [Serbia]. My first contact with athletics was in Belgrade when I started my studies. My friend, a basketball coach who has seen my talent for sport, suggested I spend my free time in Belgrade in the best possible way - training in a sport. His idea was athletics and then it all started. It was also the first time in my life I had trained for any sport."

He gets extra motivation from his impairment. "I have to admit that I had a wonderful childhood. I have never experienced discrimination due to my impairment. I had many friends with whom I spent a lot of time outdoors chasing a ball as a child. My impairment was never a problem for me, it only gives me extra motivation.
