The appeal from the Russian Paralympic Committee regarding the suspension of its International Paralympic Committee (IPC) membership will now take place on Monday 22 August, 24 hours later than originally announced.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has scheduled the appeal for Monday and a final decision will be announced by the CAS by noon CEST on Tuesday, 23 August.

The IPC suspended the Russian Paralympic Committee on Sunday, 7 August due to its inability to fulfil its IPC membership responsibilities and obligations, in particular its obligation to comply with the IPC Anti-Doping Code and the World Anti-Doping Code (to which it is also a signatory).
