The Netherlands’ women’s basketball head coach Gertjan van der Linden has announced 11 of the first 12 players named on the team for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. Three players are in the running for the final spot.

The Orange Angels look to do better than the bronze medal they left with from London 2012. The group showed promise after defeating reigning Paralympic champions Germany in the 2013 European Championships, but followed up with bronze at the 2014 World Championships and returned the gold medal to Germany at the 2015 European Championships.

Among the eleven-strong squad there are only two who have not previously experienced a Paralympics: Bo Kramer and Ilse Arts.
