Early Registration Discount for Canadian Paralympic Congress 2008

The Canadian Paralympic Congress this year will be held on 17 October in Ottawa, Ontario, and will focus on will on how the community serving Canadians with a physical disability can better service them by building the future of sport. 08 Aug 2008 By IPC

Highlights of the programme include a presentation by Krista Kowalchuk from Statistics Canada, focusing on the world of children and adults with a physical disability in Canada, and understanding their overall demographics. Also at the congress will be a presentation by the Chief Operating Officer of the British Paralympic Association, Phil Lane, on how awareness of Paralympic Sport in Great Britain has dramatically risen.

Those attending the congress which is organized by the Canadian Paralympic Committee will also be able to attend topic-centred discussions by a myriad of expert panellists. One highlight being the topic, “Collective Branding”, which will include a concentration on joint venture marketing with representatives from the Canadian Paralympic Committee and the global sales consultancy company, Optime International.

The around 100 attendees of last year’s Canadian Paralympic Congress included volunteers, administrators, coaches, athletes, as well as government sport officials across Canada. Normally, the aforementioned congress moves across Canada from city to city each year, with workshops and seminars of different themes that aim to build relationships.

Although the Canadian Paralympic Congress will take place in October, well over two months away, persons interested can sign up now and receive a 25% discount on the registration fee. This offer will expire on 31 August.
