Germany’s women’s wheelchair basketball team won their second to last tune-up tournament prior to this month’s IWBF Wheelchair Basketball European Championships.

At Cologne’s three-nation tournament last weekend, Germany, the defending European and Paralympic champions, went 3-1, defeating Canada twice and the Netherlands once.

The Germans recorded two decisive victories over the Canadians by scores of 71-52 and 69-38, and lost to the Netherlands 51-49 before getting revenge in the final game with a 59-47 victory.

The Netherlands defeated Canada twice, 62-36 and 61-53, to finish second at the tournament.

Germany and Canada will play two more exhibition games this upcoming weekend in Hamburg, Germany. The first game is slated for 18:00 on Saturday (22 June) at Hamburg’s Sports Arena Wandsbek, while the second game will take place at the CU Arena.
