Great Britain Announces Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Euros Team

Great Britain announced its women’s Wheelchair Basketball team for the 2011 European Championships, which will take place from 8-18 September in Nazareth, Israel.

The team will just have one change from its squad that won gold at the BT Paralympic World Cup in May, as Judith Hamer will return to action.

Coached by Garry Peel, Great Britain will face Germany, France, Israel, the Netherlands, Turkey and Spain in a round-robin group before the elimination rounds begin. The team hopes to use the tournament as a stepping stone to the London 2012 Parlaympic Games.
